Child care centres of the Studentenwerk - inside the campus!
We welcome you to the website of the kindergartens of the Studentenwerk Berlin. Our centres are prior for the children of students of the universities in Berlin, but also we provide the care for children of the relatives, the visiting scientists and the stipendiary students.
Five of our kindergartens are located near the universities: at the Technical University, at the School of Economics, at the Free University, at the University of Arts and at the Technical University and at the University of Applied Sciences.

We offer:
• Flexible combination of courses of studies, jobs and family through suitable opening time and the flexible drop-off and pick up.
• We gently and individually familiarize your children with the living in the day care centres.
• A copious and integral educational programm under the guidelines of the "Berliner Bildungsprogramm" and of the Sprachlerntagebuch ( diary of the progress of the children)”.
• An intercultural place with children from all diverse countries and cultures.
• A special kid-lunch prepared with bio-products.
• Kindergartens with well defined pedagogue profiles.
• Academic relation and cooperation with universities.
• we are member of the “deutschen Paritätischen Wohlfahrtsverband“.
• Since 2003 we are DOS- certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.
Our locations are in a green environment and each of our kindergartens has its own playground. We provide bright, friendly and well equipped rooms where children can feel comfortable.
Our staff keeps the standards that the City of Berlin has established. We, therefore, set great value on the qualification and further training of our staff.
The kindergarten provides you a possibility to know each others and have social contacts. We attach great importance to a good, trustful collaboration with parents to let our institutions offer a family-friendly environment of education.
Our pedagogic principles:

• We make possible them to have many experiences and give them chances to express their own voices. The children have time to play, in order to get their experience.
• We offer our children the possibility to develop and practise social skills and abilities, in order to form a basic notion of democracy, in which they learn to find their own needs and interests and answers for themselves.
• We offer the well-equipped rooms, which stimulate curiosity of the children and encourage them the innovative learning and thinking.
• Our children are stimulated to find their own method of resolution through their own researches and trying out, and to get their own ideas to solve problems.
